When the image is focussed, the debris marks become more indistinct, but they are definitely still there. On a pitch black screen, the debris marks become white dots. Doing a full service on the projector removing the dust blobs but also including other things like making the iris quieter, and fan a bit quieter too, if possible, and any other appropriate servicing. I saw a video of how to dismantle this projector but it just looks far too complicated for me to try. Tried this evening, as I switched on it made a slight noise and now no power and will not switch on. Checked fuse, that's ok. Maybe main board has gone. We are looking at a quote to fix the screen or replace it if it in not fixable. We have requested a return pick up many times without success. Please would you arrange a return pick up to rectify. Then the projector stops projecting and can only be turned off by unplugging. From online research I think it's a fan or temp sensor issue. Not always noticeable but easier to notice on darker scenes. It’s completely split down the middle. I think it may be an issue with the HDMI port, maybe a loose connection. I have taken one apart, in order to assess the problem but the LCD is beyond repair. The other hasn't been taken apart but has the same problem. Essentially they both need new LCD panels. Given the present Corona Virus lock down, are you still operational. Could you please give me a quote for the job. Our conference room Epson projector has stopped working. It was flashing 3 red lights. I changed the bulb and it worked for a very short time and then stopped. It will not come on but makes a 'fan' sound and then the 3 red lights start flashing again. We would need someone to remove the projector from the suspension unit, as well as collection please. How much would this cost approximately. When powered up there is a vertical flashing white line that does fluctuate in colour but is constantly visible when presentations are underway. I have charged it overnight as we haven't used it since September. It turned on, showed the main page and then the screen went blank and it also will not turn off. I was wondering if this was something you could sort for us. Any honest advice is appreciated. Projector is level - screen is vertical - and I have no keystone adjustment etc. I've fiddled with the panel alignment settings for hours - but with no joy. The best explanation is that there appear to be two slightly misaligned sets of pixels (in all colours). The top of the image is much better (althought not perfect). I have taken pictures but can't find an E-Mail addresss or a way to include them in this message. Is this likely to be fixable. The three main symptoms are: 1. LCD misalignment seems to of increased from original delivery amounts (which was present, but minimal in red only), but is now very noticeable on text, and is making movie viewing a little blurrier. Red, green and blue are all misaligned now. 2. Fan noise also seems to of increased. 3. The lamp dims after 1-2 hours of viewing, which never used to happen. I've had the projector from new (5-6 years), it's never been knocked, and only moved a couple of times for cabling access. The lamp hours is at 2100, halfway through the quoted lamp life of 4000 hours. I tried to remove the dust from my projector myself, but when putting it back together the focus wheel stopped rotating. I didn't snap anything, and it is a mystery to me. I was wondering if it was a problem you'd encountered before, and perhaps if it has an easy solution. Now the projector doesn't project and when moved I can hear what sounds like glass pieces moving around inside of the casing. Powered off fine. Went to turn on, lens cover opens, no fan spin up, no light emitting. Green on light displays for around 30 seconds and then: Standby - Solid red Lamp - Slow, steady flashing amber Warning - Solid red The power switch round the back had flicked off at some point.
I ordered and fitted a new lamp but it didn't fix it. The old one was working fine before and had around 400 hours on it. I suspect the ballast board needs repairing or replacing as that's something that tends to go in this model apparently but I don't have the expertise to attempt the repair. I can drop it off if that's easier. After some time, it splits the screen whereby the right hand half projects blurred columns down the screen. Can you please send me approximate costs of a service to the machine, and also the cost of return to the point of collection (as you quote free collection, but no indication of getting it back).
