A Plus 5.0 out of 5 stars However if you are seeking a way to transform your life or specific life situations, this is the book for you. I bought this book years over 12 years ago at a book store in California after hearing an NPR interview on the radio with the authors. Of course it landed in the “need to read” pile with best of intentions to read while busy life continued. However, I had a serious calamity at work in 2010 and was really concerned about the amount of anger I was feeling about the work situation. I had to find a way to release that anger and move on but was literally stuck (and felt physically ill from it) until I remembered I had this book on the shelf. I grabbed the book and read it cover to cover and found a meditation to release anger and forgive. The results were literally life changing - I had tremendous relief after about a week of using this specific meditation several times a day and was able to move on with my life free of that anger and with a much more positive outlook on life (and many really good things subsequently happened on the work front as well). The meditation tracks are to this day the most played items on my iPod and I literally fall asleep listening to them at night. They are also good to meditate with if I have no privacy during the day or am on a long flight. I was later able to take online courses with the authors to get a more in depth understanding and more experience with this type of meditation. I even buy extra copies of this book and give them away.
Maybe before I just couldn't find the motivation, but this book makes it undeniably clear how important meditation is and all the benefits.it really is the seed of spiritual growth.of growth in any area of life (and you know, it's ALL spiritual anyway). So it gave me the motivation I needed. The other problem was the practice itself: uncomfortable posture, stilling the mind, focusing on breathing. Eastern style meditation was a frustrating experience for me. I am a very practical, no-nonsense sort of girl and at least to me, meditation felt too fuzzy and the results were minimal at best. This book changed me into a daily meditator because at last I found in its pages an extremely practical approach that allowed me to zoom in on my own personal issues and challenges and see fairly immediate progress. I can feel the light working in me and my time meditating feels as productive as any other personal care task a person might perform. There are specific meditations--or prayerful invocations--for so many areas: money, health, relationships, career, etc. Barbara emphasizes these meditations be spoken aloud and at first this was awkward, but I was able to stick with it because, like I said, I finally felt like I was really connecting with that Higher part of me. I am such a nerd I made flashcards. These are helpful guidelines to get you started but of course you are allowed to create your own. Eventually, I had all the basic meditations memorized but I make things even more specific and personal for my own needs with great results. Most of all, this book turned me to having an authentic, ever-expanding relationship with God. For that, Barbara will have my eternal gratitude.So far,I have three books by Barbara Y. Martin: Dmitri Moraitis; Audible; Kindle; paperbacks; CD's. They have replaced all reading materials. Based on Truths that I embraced over the years, Barbara's no-nonsense insights hit me in the heart with relief that expands and fills my whole being.
I had plenty of Facts, but the expansion of the Facts is beyond amazing. I have NO qualms what-so-ever while listening or reading. Just about every idea is thought provoking and takes me back to the original Truth that learned ages ago. CHILLS cover me as I am reminded of the moments in the past when I first heard or learned particular Spiritual Truths, as described by Barbara. There is not a cell in her body that would be party to misinformation or misleadng Students on their Journey. I will UPDATE this message after I've spent time in their Courses. My daughter has followed in my footsteps, but thankfully - she will skip the steps that didn't work for me. She is already in the First Course. I can SEE and HEAR her progress. I am so Grateful!I recommend this to anyone who needs spiritual empowerment. I also attend their classes.Dimitri and Barbara are such wonderful people and they've done so much for all of us in choosing to write these books and dedicate their lives to helping souls ascend. My favorite light is the pink link.I feel immediately more peaceful and calm. I recommend reading all the other books as well to fully understand and receive the bigger picture.This book makes it very clear that you don't need to be able to see auras or their colour to work with them, although I'm glad to say I've seen myself surrounded by pink. Barbara explains the concepts in a clear way, breaking them down for lay people to understand, and providing good ideas to work through common problems (relationships, work, low points in life). The illustrations are beautiful and most of them in colour. The only niggle I have with the edition is that the references to some of the pictures are a bit muddled. I still haven't found where figure 8-4 is.It gives you a tool for life which you will still be using in future ones.
The introduction is extremely interesting, enlightening and inspiring and the meditations are easy and not at all least they are working, already from the very first time. Try it and you will have a different quality of life and a different perspective. I will always be grateful for this book and all the knowledge in it.The book has a rich wealth of meditative prayers to help you deal with your challenges. It helped me realize that the death of your physical body doesn’t end your life on Earth. I do not fear dying anymore. I have been always been interested in reincarnation, and the authors do reinforce my belief. Beautifully read in a comprehensive but easy to understand manner. Thank you Barbara and Dimitri.
